    Daily Duties:

    Manufacture products to operation sheet and/or other work instructions. Validate (verify) work results. Maintain work station in a clean and orderly fashion. Document (sign for) the work performed. To work in a safe manner. Your specific duties will include:

    • Machine components to print, communicating with manufacturing and production manager and floor personnel daily
    • Inspect all work to print to ensure specifications are met, using appropriate measuring equipment.
    • Maintain all measuring and manufacturing equipment to ensure cleanliness and accuracy
    • Assist in the development of tooling, gaging, fixturing, and process improvements
    • Perform in process inspection of machined parts
    • Complete and maintain all paperwork for parts including documentation of results
    • Participate in TPM activities within the entire department and maintain 6s standards for the entire department

    Preferred qualifications for the position include: (compensation based on qualifications)

    • Knowledge of EDM manufacturing processes, procedures, and production equipment.
    • Experience working with tight tolerances, g-code programming, and blueprint reading
    • Working knowledge of micrometers, calipers, CMM, and plate inspection tools
    • Experience of 2-3 years in manufacturing preferred but not required
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, demonstrated quality record
    • Quality ability to work on several tasks simultaneously
    • Working knowledge of SolidWorks and Mastercam is helpful but not required
    • H.S. Diploma or equivalent
    • Fluency in written and spoken English
    • employees must be able to lift/or move up to 35 pounds.

    Daily Duties:

    . Your specific duties will include:

    • Execute New Product Introduction (NPI) cycle, from start to finish, for assigned projects: quote pricing and lead time for new products, design and procure tooling and gaging, develop and refine machining and inspection methods, compose and publish work instruction documentation, and train operators on the new process. 

     

    • Implement continuous improvement initiatives on existing processes for reduction of lead time, cycle time, perishable tooling expense, and cost of poor quality. 

     

    • Conduct root cause investigations on quality defects and employ corrective and preventative actions to prevent future events. 

     

    • Apply mechanical proficiency to troubleshoot machine issues; mentor junior engineers, technicians, and machinists; advise management on technical matters; hold design review presentations; and other tasks as directed by management.

     

    Preferred qualifications for the position include: (compensation based on qualifications)

    •  Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 10+ years of technical experience.

     

    • Experience in programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines is highly desirable.

     

    • Must be proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical specifications, and manufacturing work instructions. 

     

    • Experience CAD and CAM software is required.  SolidWorks and Mastercam experience is a plus.

     

    • Working knowledge of micrometers, calipers, CMM, sine plates, and other precision inspection instruments is highly desirable. 

     

    • Ability to communicate well with peers, shop floor personnel, and management is required.  Must be able to read and write in English.

    Daily Duties:

    . Your specific duties will include:

    • Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure procedures and processes are in accordance with approved data.
    • Create and maintain quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc.
    • Perform root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns.
    • Perform and follow up on internal and external quality system audits assuring conformance to FAA regulations, ISO standards, technical documentation, company procedures, and customer specifications as applicable. Close out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions.
    • Perform repair reviews to determine shop capability and cost analysis.
    • Assist shop operations and engineering personnel in determining the root cause and implementing corrective actions for customer escapes and audit findings. Analyze failure, corrective action and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.
    • Lead and conduct improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen lean methods, etc.
    • Demonstrate a commitment to the EH&S Program including, compliance with all applicable policies and procedures, and maintenance of a safe workplace.
    • Perform technical writing to ensure that procedures related to quality are established, maintained, and supported according ISO requirements and quality policies.
    • Ensure that methods and the equipment used in the various tests are reliable, accurate, and dependable.
    • Report monthly Quality measurements to Senior Management including discussion relative to the requirements and strategy.
    • Coordinates with other managers and associates to identify critical success factors, develop measurement systems, and implement continuous process improvement methodologies.
    • Designs, develops, and implements comprehensive quality assurance programs.
    • Maintains, enforces, and measures quality assurance processes.
    • Defines and manages an end-to-end test environment including but not limited to selection of tools, methods, and process.
    • Reviews and evaluates services to correct deficiencies and formulate improvements.
    • Assures on-time delivery of new projects; ensures product quality, performance, and conformity with company established specifications.
    • Assists with the planning and implementation of new programs, services, and projects; monitors progress and evaluates results; recommends changes or other action as appropriate.
    • Assigns duties and monitors quality of work; assures staff conforms to organizational policies and procedures and government regulations.
    • Provides day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates; actively works to promote and recognize performance.
    • Keeps up to date on overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

    Qualification: Basic Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of directly related experience in quality, in an aerospace, manufacturing, and/or Overhaul & Repair environment.
    • Quality systems and process auditing skills, both internal and external.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Knowledge of ISO 9100/9110 implementation.
    • Working knowledge of FAA regulations for a FAR 145 Repair Station.
    • Understanding of manufacturing processes; such as plasma, peening, turning, machining, etc.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • MA/MS in Engineering or related technical discipline.
    • Certifications as ASQC Certified Quality Engineer and ISO Certified Lead Auditor.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
    • Strong business judgment and demonstrated leadership skills.
